THE FALSE CLAIM THAT THE 11 MEN OF THE GOVERNING BODY IS “THE FAITHFUL AND DISCREET SLAVE” AND “GOD’S CHANNEL OF COMMUNICATION”
A sketch of the contents of each article is first given. Then follows a more detailed description.
The article “Introduction to the articles dealing with the Governing Body,” discusses the situation of the seven congregations in Asia (Revelation 1-3). This shows that there were some false doctrines and practices in the Christian congregations in the first century CE, and the same is true in the community of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the 21st century. Christians should obey their leaders, except when they require something that contradicts the Bible.
The book My Beloved Religion — And The Governing Body, chapters 2 and 3, show that there was no Governing Body in the first century CE and that there should be none in our time. It also shows that the phrase, “the faithful and discreet slave,” is not a prophecy of a group during Jesus’ presence. But it refers to all God’s servants who are faithful and discreet when the great tribulation comes.
The article, “God’s administration — his channel of communication,” shows that according to Ephesians, “God’s administration (oikonomia)” is identical with “God’s channel of communication.” God’s administration is abstract. It is God’s way of administering and managing things. Humans on earth, such as the 11 men in the Governing Body, are not “God’s channel of communication.” But God uses his servant to communicate with the human family by preaching the good news of the kingdom.
The article “God’s channel of communication — the difference between inspiration and direction,” discusses how God communicates with his servant by “inspiration” and “direction”. The difference is discussed, and it is shown that God only uses “direction” in our time. Examples of how the leaders of Jehovah’s Witnesses used “direction” before the Governing Body was instituted in 1971 are given.
The article “The members of the Governing Body and divine inspiration” shows that, despite the fact that God does not use inspiration in our time (only the Bible is inspired), the members of the Governing Body claim to be inspired by God. How the leaders taught Jehovah’s Witnesses in an environment of Christian freedom in the 20th century and in an environment of dictatorship in the 21st century is described
The article “Analysis of the evidence used to show that the Governing Body is ‘the faithful and discreet slave’” contradicts the claim that the present members of the Governing Body are inspired by God and, as a result, convey God’s truth to Jehovah’s Witnesses. The Watchtower of 2017 presents three lines of evidence that the Governing Body is “the faithful and discreet slave.” These three lines are discussed in detail, and it is shown that none of the arguments has a sound basis.

THE WAY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNING BODY TO GET ALL POWER IN THE ORGANIZATION OF JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES AND BECOME DICTATORS
The article “Personal freedom or slavery in the community of Jehovah’s Witnesses” presents the Bible’s view of slavery versus freedom. It shows that the law of Moses is abolished, and the Christians must follow “the law of Christ.” The Christian Greek Scriptures say that a person is a slave to the one he or she obeys. Because the members of the Governing Body in the 21st century have functioned as a government for Jehovah’s Witnesses, and the members of the Governing Body have created 200+ laws in addition to the Law of Christ. Jehovah’s Witnesses have become their slaves.
The article “The dictatorship of the Governing Body II — the Governing Body’s way to dictatorship,” shows how individual Witnesses had Christian freedom, and the bodies of elders, to a great extent, were independent of the Governing Body after the elder arrangement was introduced in 1972. Then the members of the Governing body made a plan to gain control over the congregations’ property and their money. The article provides several details on how this plan was implemented and executed, leading to the transition from theocratic to dictatorial rule.
The article “The dictators draw the line — How the Governing Body has restricted the freedom of Jehovah’s Witnesses” refers to The Watchtower of October 1972, where we find the maxim: “Where God’s Word does not itself ‘draw the line,’ no human has the right to add to that Word by doing so.” This is Christian freedom. The article shows how the members of the Governing Body, in detail, have drawn the line contrary to the Bible and made rules and laws that restrict the freedom of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
The article “The dictatorship of the Governing Body I — The power struggle inside the Governing Body in the 1980s and 1990s” shows that the organization’s current dictatorial structure stems from Ted Jaracz, a hardliner, being the victor of the power struggle. The article shows how the members of the Governing Body dissolved a department of deep study of the original languages at Brooklyn Bethel and have forbidden individual Witnesses from doing biblical research.

MAIN POINTS: IN THE 1980s AND 1990s, THERE WAS A POWER STRUGGLE WITHIN THE GOVERNING BODY BETWEEN THEODORE JARACZ, WHO WAS A HARDLINER SEEKING POWER, AND WILLIAM LLOYD BARRY, WHO DID NOT WANT MORE POWER.
IN 1999, BARRY DIED, AND JARACZ BECAME THE LEADER OF THE GOVERNING BODY. HE INTRODUCED A NUMBER OG LAWS AND RULES BEFORE HIS DEATH IN 2010, AND HE IS THE MAIN REASON WHY THE ORGANIZATION IN THE 21ST CENTURY HAS BECOME DICTATORIAL.
MOST IMPORTANT IS THE REJECTION OF THE FULL INSPIRATION OF THE BIBLE. IN THE 1980s, THERE WAS A DEPARTMENT WITH BROTHERS KNOWING THE LANGUAGES OF THE BIBLE THAT WAS STUDYING THE NUANCES AND THE SUBTLETIES OF THE BIBLE’S ORIGINAL TEXT.
MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNING BODY SAW THIS DEPARTMENT AS A RIVAL TO THEMSELVES — THEY SHOULD BE THE ONLY TEACHERS — AND THE WHOLE DEPARTMENT WAS SHUT DOWN.
SOME YEARS LATER, THE MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNING BODY SENT A LETTER TO ALL WITNESSES FORBIDDING PERSONAL RESEARCH IN THE BIBLICAL LANGUAGES OR IN OTHER SUBJECTS RELATED TO THE BIBLE. ALL TEACHING WOULD COME FROM THE GOVERNING BODY.

THE MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNING BODY DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE FULL INSPIRATION OF THE BIBLE
The article “The members of the Governing Body do not believe in the full inspiration of the Bible (Part I) discusses what it means to believe in the full inspiration of the Bible. Based on different scriptures, the following requirements are presented:
- We must take every account literally if the context explicitly does not say that a text is figurative.
- We must believe that every account is included with a particular purpose
- We must accept that all subtleties and nuances in the text are important.
The article “The members of the Governing Body do not believe in the full inspiration of the Bible (Part II) discusses the five revolutions that has occurred among the Bible Students and Jehovah’s Witnesses — in the 1870s, 1924, 1965, 1988, and 2015. Four revolutions had to do with the ransom sacrifice and the resurrection from the dead.
The article discusses the fourth revolution and shows how the members of the Governing Body refuse to accept what the Christian Greek Scriptures say about the resurrection. This refusal to accept the Bible’s text shows that the members of the Governing Body do not believe in the full inspiration for the Bible.
The article “The members of the Governing Body do not believe in the full inspiration of the Bible (Part III) discusses the fifth revolution, where the members of the Governing Body, in The Watchtower of March 15, 2015, show that they do not believe that all accounts in the Bible were included with a particular purpose. This means that they, in reality, believe in biblical “junk texts.”
The Song of Solomon is such a “junk text,” and this book is discussed in detail. The article shows that the members of the Governing Body do not take numerous texts in the Hebrew Scriptures at face value. But they have transferred the authority of the Bible’s text to themselves by saying that what is important is what these texts remind the members of the Governing Body, not their literal meaning.
By refusing to accept that all accounts in the Bible are included with a particular purpose and that the nuances and subtleties of the original text are important, they show that they do not believe in the full inspiration of the Bible.
The article “The members of the Governing Body do not believe in the full inspiration of the Bible (Part IV) discusses the New World Translation revised in 2013 (NWT13) in contrast to the original New World Translation (NWT84). The members of the Governing Body instructed the translators to produce an idiomatic translation rather than conveying all the nuances and subtleties of the original text into English. Therefore, the text of the NWT13 is a witness, showing that the members of the Governing Body do not believe in the full inspiration of the Bible.

The article “The 11 disfellowshipping offenses 2: Illicit sexual intercourse (porneia) shows that the members of the Governing Body have defined the Greek word porneia in 12 different ways. But porneia has only one meaning in The Christian Greek Scriptures, namely, “illicit sexual intercourse.” The word porneia has three references or applications: 1) Sexual intercourse between a married person and one to whom he or she is not married, 2) Sexual intercourse between unmarried persons, and 3) Sexual intercourse between homosexuals. Thousands of Witnesses have been disfellowshipped because of the Governing Body’s wrong definitions of porneia.

It shows, in detail, when and how the 12 different definitions of porneia were introduced, with quotes from The Watchtower. It discusses the linguistic principles for determining the meanings of porneia and other words. The article The Governing Body making the gift of sex filthy (I) Masturbation shows that the word “masturbation” is not mentioned in the Bible. It argues that the apostle Paul indirectly mentions masturbation without condemning it. The Watchtower has often condemned masturbation without any basis in the Bible. Because of this, the members of the Governing Body have placed an unnecessary burden on the shoulders of youngsters and others.
The article The Governing Body making the gift of sex filthy (II) lewd sex inside marriage shows that in 1972, anal and oral sex became disfellowshipping offenses. In 1974, these actions were defined as porneia, so marriages could also be dissolved. In 1978, the condemnation of anal and oral sex was retracted. From now on, these actions were no longer considered porneia or disfellowshipping offenses. In 1983, anal and oral sex became disfellowshipping offenses again, but they were not porneia. In 2026, anal and oral sex no longer were disfellowshipping offenses. In the years between 1874 and 1978, thousands of marriages were dissolved for unbiblical reasons, and men, women, and children were suffering.
The article The Governing Body making the gift of sex filthy (III) Disfellowshipping on the basis of lewd thoughts and inclinations shows that persons are disfellowshipped for what they think and feel. Pornography is not mentioned in the Bible. But the members of the Governing Body have decided that viewing 11 forms of pornography can lead to disfellowshipping. The 11 forms of pornography are discussed, and it is shown that there are problems in defining most of these forms. The members of the Governing Body have invented the concept “Gross uncleanness with greediness,” which has no basis in the Bible. When Witnesses are disfellowshipped because of a violation of this concept, they are disfellowshipped because of their thoughts and inclinations.

THE MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNING BODY HAVE REJECTED A BASIC SIDE OF THE RANSOM SACRIFICE AND THE RESURRECTION
The issue: The Christian Greek Scriptures teach that when Jesus died, he died for all Adam’s descendants, and he bought them all. The ransom guaranties that all Adam’s descendants, except those who are permeated by wickedness, like Judas, will receive a resurrection during the thousand-year reign of Jesus with the chance of choosing everlasting life.
The present members of the Governing Body reject this view. They believe that Jesus died only for those who will be saved and not for all Adam’s descendants. This false belief shows that the members of the Governing Body do not believe in the full inspiration of the Bible.
In 1924, The Watchtower rejected the view of the Bible Students of a restoration of all things, that is close to what is described in the first paragraph. In 1934, the view that Jesus died for all Adam’s descendants started to deteriorate. And a full-fledged denial that Jesus died for all is seen in The Watchtower of July 1, 1937, page 350:
as a man he must die to provide the ransom or redemptive price “for many” of the human race. For how many of the human race: all or only a part? Not for all, because the redemptive price results beneficially only to those who believe on and obey God and Christ Jesus.
In 1965, The Watchtower published 12 articles discussing the resurrection. These articles restored the view that the Bible Students held during the 50 years before 1924, that Jesus died for all Adam’s descendants. The last time this correct view was expressed in public, was in The Watchtower of March 15, 2000, page 3:
Jesus took Adam’s sinful, dying family as his own. He gave up the right to have a family of his own. By sacrificing his perfect human life, Jesus repurchased all mankind descended from Adam so that they could become His family, making Him their “Eternal Father.”—Isaiah 9:6, 7.
During the 21st century, the members of the Governing Body have returned to the belief held between 1934 and 1965 that Jesus died only for a part of Adam’s descendants. When the principal part of the ransom sacrifice is rejected, the whole ransom sacrifice is rejected.
The members of the Governing Body have rejected the principal part of the ransom sacrifice that Jesus died for all Adam’s descendants and bought all of them. Therefore, I bring articles that show what the ransom sacrifice really is and how the members of the Governing Body have rejected its basic part.
The article A detailed study of the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ discusses the various aspects of the ransom sacrifice, its application to all mankind, and specifically to the Jews, the 144,000 of the heavenly government, and those who have sinned against the holy spirit. It is shown that not only God’s love but also his righteousness is the basis of the ransom sacrifice.

Quotations from the Watchtower literature show that for 55 years before 1924, the Bible Students believed that Jesus died for all Adam’s descendants, and that all, except the few who were permeated by wickedness, will receive a resurrection on Judgment Day. More quotations show that between 1934 and 1965, the principal side of the ransom sacrifice, that Jesus died for all Adam’s descendants, was rejected. Between 1965 and 2000, the view of the Bible Students that Jesus died for all Adam’s descendants was restored. But in the 21st century, the ransom sacrifice was again rejected by the members of the Governing Body.

They try to counter the view that billions will be everlastingly annihilated. But this is still the view of the members of the Governing Body.

This means that they will become perfect after their resurrection, and in this condition, they will choose to serve God or not. But because they are permeated by wickedness, they have already chosen to turn against God.
