INDEX OF ARTICLES ON DISASSOCIATION

By 11. January 2026Table of contents

For all practical purposes disassociation is the same as disfellowshipping.

The term “disassociation” was invented to escape the moral and judicial responsibility for throwing a Witness out of the congregation when they violated particular commandments.

Please consider this quotation from the Elders’ book 18:1, 3 (4):

  1. Whereas disfellowshipping is an action taken by a judicial committee against an unrepentant wrongdoer, disassociation is an action taken by a baptized individual in the congregation who no longer desires to be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

18.3 (4): Taking a Course That Violates Christian Neutrality:  (Isa. 2:4; John 15:17-19: lvs pp. 60-63, 244) If he joins a nonneutral organization, he has disassociated himself. If his employment makes him a clear accomplice in nonneutral activities, he should generally be allowed six months to make an adjustment. If he does not, he has disassociated himself.—See lvs pp. 204-206.

This is an example of the elders throwing a Witness out of the congregations with the pretext that he has voluntarily left the congregation.

  • One example is that the elders decide that the person’s work is a violation of his neutrality. He has no right to disagree.
  • The elders demand that he changes his work within six months.
  • After six months, when he has not changed his work, the elders throw him out of the congregation.
  • If he disagrees that his work violates his neutrality and wants to continue to be a part of the congregation, he will not be allowed to do that.
  • He will be shunned and totally isolated from family and friends, just as disfellowshipped persons are.

The deception is that the elders are saying that he voluntarily left the congregation because he does not desire to be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, when he, in reality, is thrown out of the congregation against his will.

MAIN POINTS OF THE ARTICLES:

DISASSOCIATION AND DISFELLOWSHIPPING ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. THE MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNING BODY HAVE COINED THE TERM “DISASSOCIATION” IN ORDER TO AVOID THE ETHICAL AND JUDICIAL RESPONSIBILITY OF THROWING MEMBERS OUT OF THE CONGREGATION FOR FOUR DIFFERENT REASONS.

THREE REASONS LEADING TO DISASSOCIATION ARE DISCUSSED IN DETAIL. IT IS SHOWN THAT THE CLAIM THAT PERSONS DISASSOCIATE THEMSELVES BECAUSE THEY NO LONGER DESIRE TO BELONG TO JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES IS A LIE.

REVIEW OF ARTICLES:

“DISASSOCIATION” IS THE SAME AS “DISFELLOWSHIPPING” (Important article)

MAIN POINTS: THE ARTICLE DEMONSTRATES IN DETAIL THAT “DISASSOCIATION” IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS “DISFELLOWSHIPPING.” IN BOTH SITUATIONS WITNESSES ARE THROWN OUT OF THE CONGREGATION AGAINST THEIR WILL. THE CLAIM THAT THE DISASSOCIATED ONES LEAVE VOLUNTARILY BECAUSE THEY NO LONGER DESIRE TO BE ONE OF JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES IS A LIE.

Three questions and their answers are presented to show that disassociated persons are thrown out of the congregation against their will:

  • Did the brother leave the congregation by his free will because he no longer wanted to be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses? No!
  • If he wanted to remain in the congregation, would he be allowed to do that? No!
  • Would he be forced to leave the congregation? Yes!

RESIGNING FROM JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES LEADS TO SHUNNING

MAIN POINTS: THE WATCHTOWER SAYS THAT THOSE WHO RESIGN, ARE A PART OF THE ANTICHRIST AND MUST BE SHUNNED.

The article shows that when the jw.org website discusses people who resign, it does not state that they will be shunned as disfellowshipped people are. Thus, they are hiding the truth.

It is shown that the members of the Governing Body misuse the text of the Bible when they give the Greek word synanamignymi one meaning in 2 Thessalonians 3:14. 15 and another meaning in 1 Corinthians 5:11.

It is also argued that shunning is a cruel and inhuman action that violates both ethical and biblical principles.

DISASSOCIATION BECAUSE OF THE VIOLATION OF CHRISTIAN NEUTRALITY

MAIN POINTS: THE MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNING BODY HAVE GIVEN THE ELDERS THE RIGHT TO DECIDE WHEN WITNESSES VIOLATE THEIR NEUTRALITY IN CONNECTION WITH THEIR WORK.

IN CONTRAST, THE ARTICLE SHOWS WHAT IT MEANS TO BE AMBASSADORS FOR GOD’S KINGDOM, AND IT SHOWS THAT THE MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNING BODY IN 1996, ON BEHALF OF ALL JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES, RENOUNCED THE POSITION AS AMBASSADORS FOR GOD’S KINGDOM.

THEREFORE, THE MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNING BODY VIOLATED THEIR NEUTRALITY IN THE GREATEST POSSIBLE WAY, IN CONNECTION WITH GOD’S KINGDOM.

Examples of the extreme views of the members of the Governing Body as to what can mean the violation of one’s neutrality — such as delivering softdrinks to a military camp.

It is shown that for 50 years, Jehovah’s Witnesses did not accept alternative civil service instead of military service. As ambassadors, they did not accept the right of the state to put them under any kind of compulsory service, such as civil service.

In 1996, the members of the Governing Body reversed their stance and accepted that the state had the right to put Jehovah’s Witnesses under compulsory service. This was the same as retracting the position of Jehovah’s Witnesses as ambassadors for God’s kingdom.

DISASSOCIATION 1 (I) — WILLINGLY AND UNREPENTANTLY ACCEPTING BLOOD

MAIN POINTS: THE HEBREW WORD FOR BLOOD IS DAM, AND THE GREEK WORD IS HAIMA. BOTH WORDS REFER TO THE RED FLUID IN THE VEINS OF HUMANS AND ANIMALS.

THE MEMBERS OF THE GOVERNING BODY DEMAND THAT ALL WITNESSES MUST ABSTAIN FROM BLOOD PLASMA, RED CELLS, WHITE CELLS, AND PLATELETS.

BY DOING THIS, THEY HAVE OVERSTEPPED THEIR AUTHORITY BY CREATING RULES THAT ARE NOT BASED ON THE BIBLE. EACH CHRISTIAN MUST DECIDE WHETHER TO ACCEPT THESE BLOOD FRACTIONS OR NOT.

DISASSOCIATION 1 (II)— WILLINGLY AND UNREPENTANTLY ACCEPTING BLOOD

MAIN POINTS: THERE HAVE BEEN TWO SCHOOLS AMONG JEHOVAH’S WITNESSES, ONE SCHOOL TEACHING THAT THE PROHIBITION ONLY IS AGAINST EATING BLOOD, AND THE OTHER TEACHING THAT THE PROHIBITION IS AGAINST ANY USE OF BLOOD.

The article discusses the Bible’s view of blood, which not only forbids eating, but also any use of blood.

The work of the Hospital Liaison Committee is discussed.

Which parts of blood that the Governing Body accepts and which are prohibited are discussed.

The transplantation of organs is discussed.

DISASSOCIATION BY JOINING ANOTHER RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION

MAIN POINTS: FOR 44 YEARS, FROM 1942 TO 1986, JOINING A RELIGIOUS ORGANISATION LED TO DISFELLOWSHIPPING. IN 1986 THERE WAS A CHANGE OF VIEW, THAT JOINING A RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION WAS THE SAME AS DISASSOCIATION.
